Baselius (or Van Basle), Jacob (1)

Baselius (Or Van Basle), Jacob (1), a Dutch theologian and historian, was born in 1530. He preached at Flushing and at Berg-op-Zoom, where he died in 1598. He wrote an account of the siege of this city in 1588, which was published in 1603. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
