Bartholomew, James

Bartholomew, James an English Wesleyar minister, was born at Northwich, Cheshire, in 1802 He united with the Church in his sixteenth year, entered the Conference in 1829, and was appointed to Alexandria, Egypt. After travelling in that country and Palestine for five years, he returned to England, and was employed in the home ministry for twenty years. In 1854 he retired and removed to Gloucester, and died Sept. 9 of that year. See Minutes of the British Conference, 1855.
