Baranyi, Paul, a Hungarian Jesuit and theologian, lived in the early half of the 18th century. In his native country he gained great renown as a preacher, and wrote Imago Vitme et Mortis, or Az Eletnek es Hatalnok Kepe (Tyrnau, 1712), a collection of funeral orations in the Hungarian language.
