Bail, Louis

Bail, Louis a French theologian, a native of Abbeville, was doctor of the Sorbonne (1628), rector of Montmartre, and sub-penitentiary of Paris, where he died in 1669. He wrote, Summa Concilidrum (1659): De Triplici Examine Ordinandorum Confessorum et Paenitentium (1651): — Theologia Affectiva. (1672): — De Beneficio Crucis (1653). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog.
