'Odin gave them breath and life; Wile (or Honir), spirit and power of motion; We (or Lodur), blood, speech, beauty, and the sense of hearing and seeing. The Asas called one of them A s (Ash), and the other Enibla (Alder). Thus originated. the first man and the first woman.
