Arnold

Arnold a Scottish bishop, was abbot OF KELSO, and became bishop: of St. Andrews in 1158. The consecration was performed within the Church of St. Andrews by William, bishop of Morav, the pope's legate, in the presence of king Malcolm IV, and of the bishops, abbots, and princes of the land. He founded the Cathedral of St. Andrews; but died before the work was scarcely begun, in September, 1160. See Keith, Scottish Bishops, p. 10.
