Andrew Bishop Of Samosata, and the friend of Theodoret, flourished about A.D. 431, and wrote, at the command of John of Antioch, two pieces in refutation of the celebrated anathemas of St. Cyril, and eight Letters, given by Lupus. See Cave, Historia Literaria, 1, 419.
