Alexander, John (2), a Scotch engraver, who worked at Rome in 1718. His plates were chiefly after Raphael. He engraved six mid-sized plates lengthways, dedicated to Cosmo III, grand-duke of Tuscany, as follows: — The Benediction of Abraham (1717): The Sacrifice of Abraham (1718): — The Angel Appearing to Abraham (eod.): — The Departure of Lot from Sodom (eod.): — Jacob's Ladder (eod.) — Moses and the Burning Bush (1717).
