Alemanni, Arcangela

Alemanni, Arcangela a Dominican nun of the Monastery of St. Niccolodi, was a native of Florence, and lived in the later half of the 16th century. She wrote, in the form of letters, the life of the celebrated Lorenza Strozzi, her friend and confidante. These letters were entitled Epistolce ad Zachariam Montium de Piis Moribus et Felici Morte ejus Materterce dictce Sororis Strozice, et Alice ad Alios. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
