Aiken, Solomon

Aiken, Solomon, a Congregational minister, was a native of Hardwick, Mass. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1784; was ordained pastor of the Church in Dracut, Mass., June 4, 1788, from which he was dismissed June 4, 1814. After this he removed to the State of New York. He died about 1832. As a political partisan he acquired some celebrity. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, ii, 87. j
