Agoreus

Agoreus, in Greek mythology, was an appellation given to those deities who had statues in the public markets or flora. Thus Mercury Agoraeus was to be found at Athens, Sicyon, Thebes, Sparta, etc.; and thus Minerva Agoraea was in extraordinary veneration among the Lacedemonians.
