Adbeel

Ad'beel (Heb. Adbeel', אִדבּאֵל, prob. miracle of God, the first member being by Syriasm for אֶצבִּע, finger; or progeny of God, the first member being Arab. adb, offspring; Sept. Ναβδεήλ [Josephus Α᾿βδέηλος, Ant. 1, 12, 4], Vulg. Adbeel), the third named of the twelve sons of Ishmael, and head of an unknown Arabian tribe (Ge 25:13; 1Ch 1:29). B.C. post 2061. See ARABIA.
