Adami, Adam

Adami, Adam, a Benedictine friar, was born about 1590. He was bishop of Hieropolis and suffragan of Hildesheim. He was appointed to represent the prelates of the dukedom of Wirtemberg in the Assembly at Westphalia. He died about 1670. Adami wrote, Acana Pacis Westphalicce (Frankf. 1698; Leips. 1737, by Mayern, who was accused of being inexact in this work). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale. s.v.
