Asphar'asus (Α᾿σφάρασος; Vulg. Mechpsator), one of the associates of Zerubbabel in the return from Babylon (1 Esdr. 5:8); doubtless a corruption of the MIZPAR SEE MIZPAR (q.v.) of the true text (Ezr 2:2).
