Caius or Gaius (2)

Caius Or Gaius, a Dalmatian, elected bishop of Rome in 283, and is said to have suffered martyrdom under Diocletian, April 21, 296. His epistle was edited, with notes, etc., by Caes. Becillus, a priest of the oratory of Urbino, and subjoined to the Acts of his Martyrdom, published at Rome in 1628.
