Zilpah

Zil'pah (Heb. Tsilpah', זַלַפָּה, a trickling; Sept. Ζελφά v.r. Ζελφάν; Josephus, Ζελφά,l Ant. 1, 19,7; Vulg. Zelpha), a female servant of Laban, whom he gave to Leah on her marriage with Jacob (Ge 29:24), and whom Leah eventually induced him to take as a concubine wife, in which capacity she became the mother of Gad and Asher (Ge 30:9-13; Ge 35:26; Ge 37:2; Ge 46; Ge 18). B.C. 1919.
