Wilson, John Glasgow, D.D.

a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was born in Maury County, Tennessee, in 1826. He was piously reared in the Presbyterian Church, graduated from Nashville University at the age of sixteen, and licensed to preach at twenty-four; served for twenty years as president of Huntsville Female College and Warren College, Kentucky; in 1876 became pastor of St. John's Church, St. Louis; in 1880 presiding elder, and died August 5, 1884.
