Watson, John Lee, D.D.

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was born at Boston, Massachusetts, August 27, 1797. He graduated from Harvard College in 1815, became rector at Fishkill, N.Y., in 1835, assistant at Trinity Church, Boston, in 1836, rector of Grace Church, Newark, N.J., in 1846, of Burlington College in 1853, chaplain of the United States Navy in 1855, was placed on the retired list in 1861, and died at Orange, N.J., August 12, 1884.
