Walker, Robert (2)

a talented minister of the Church of Scotland, was born in the Canongate, Edinburgh, in 1716. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh, and was licensed in 1737. He was ordained minister to Straiton in 1738, and remained there nine years, when he was transferred to the second charge of South Leith. In 1754 he was again removed to one of the collegiate charges of the High Church, Edinburgh; where he continued until his death, April 4, 1783. He published two volumes of Sermons.
