Vitry, Edouard De

Vitry, Edouard de a learned French philologer and numismatist, was born about 1670. He entered the order of St. Ignatius, studied at Paris, and was engaged all his life in antiquarian pursuits. He died about 1730. For his productions, see Biographie Universelle.
