Ustick, Stephen C.

a prominent Baptist layman .son of the Rev. Thomas Ustick, as lborn in New York city in 1773. He was a printer by trade, and devoted himself to his secular calling with great activity. For many years he was a deacon in the Burlington, N.J., Baptist Church, and took a deep interest in all plans for religious work, both at home and abroad. For some time his home was in Washington, D. C. He removed to Batavia, O., in which place he died, Nov. 11, 1837. Mr. Ustick was one of the founders of the Baptist Triennial Convention, formed in 1814 with special reference to carrying on the work of foreign missions. See the Missionary Jubilee, p. 119. (J. C.
