Tantum Ergo

(So great therefore). The concluding part of the hymn for Corpus Christi day, entitled Pange lingua, which is sung in the Latin Church when the holy sacrament is exposed for the worship, and elevated for the benediction of the faithful.

"Tantumt ergo Sacramentum Veneremur cernui: Et antiqum documentur Novo cedat ritui: Praestet fides supplementum Sensuum defectui.

"Genitori, genitoque Lans et jubilatio, Salus, honor, virtus quoque, Sit et benedictio: Procedenti ab utroque Compar sit laudatio. Amen."
