Syme, Andrew, D.D.

an Episcopal minister, was born in Lanarkshire, Scotland, in September 1764. He went to Petersburg, Virginia, before 1800, and remained till his death, October 26, 1845, being at the time: the oldest citizen in the town; and the oldest clergyman in the state.
