Stevens, William (2)

Stevens, William (2), a minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, was born in Plymouth County, Mass., March 24, 1778. He was converted in his twenty-second year, and in 1804 he was received on trial and appointed to Landaff Circuit in New Hampshire. In 1806 he was received into full connection in the New England Conference. He located in 1813, but in 1821 he was readmitted by the Ohio Conference. In 1845 he sustained a supernumerary relation, and became superannuated in 1846. He died in Bridgewater, Beaver Co., Pa.; March 1, 1858. See Minutes of Annual Conferences, 1858, p. 114.
