Smith, James William

Smith, James William a Congregational minister, was born in Stamford, Connecticut, July 8, 1810; graduated from the N.Y. Medical College, and joined the mission of the American Board at Hawaii in 1842; was stationed at Koloa, or Kawai, in 1844, and there remained until his death, December 1, 1887. He was ordained pastor of the Koloa Church in 1854.
