Shorsewood, George

Shorsewood, George a Scotch prelate, was rector of Culter in 1449, and in 1453 was chancellor of the Church of Dunkeld. He was confessor to the king in 1454, in which year he went on an embassy to England. He was made bishop of the see of Brechin, October 22 the same year, was also royal secretary, and afterwards became lord high chancellor. He was bishop there in 1462.
