Sharar

Sha'rar (Heb. Sharar', שָׁרָר, strong, Sept. Α᾿ραϊv v.r. Σαράρ), the father of Ahiam the Hararite, one of David's mighty men (2Sa 23:33). B.C. cir. 1040. In the parallel passage (1Ch 11:35) he is called SACAR, which is, perhaps, the better reading (Kennicott, Dissert. p. 203). SEE DAVID.
