Semei

Sem'ei (Σεμεϊv), the Graecized form apparently of two Hebrew names:

1. SHIMEI SEE SHIMEI (q.v.), spoken of as (a) one of the "sons of Asom" (1 Esdr. 9:33), i.e. of Hashum (Ezr 10:33); (b) the son of Cisai and father of Jairus, among the ancestors of Mordecai (Esther 11:2. Σεμεϊvας)..

2. The son of Joseph and father of Mattathias in our Lord's genealogy (Lu 3:26, v.r. Σεμεείν), probably SHEMAIAH SEE SHEMAIAH (q.v.), the son of Shechaniah and father of Neariah (1Ch 3:22).
