Perry, Gideon Babcock, D.D., LL.D.

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was born at South Kingstown, R.I., October 12, 1800. Among several parishes of which he was rector were St.

Paul's, Cleveland, Ohio, and Grace Church, in the same city. He was also the founder of St. James's parish in Cleveland. Subsequently he was rector of Trinity Church, Natchez, Miss., and of Grace Church in Hopkinsville, Ky., where he died, September 30, 1879, having been fifty-seven years in the ministry.
