Pell, John

Pell, John a learned divine, and mathematician, who settled at Breda as professor of philosophy and mathematics, and was a great correspondent of Cavendish, was born at Southwick, in Sussex, in 1610, and died in 1685. Besides the works published by him, his MSS. and letters in the British Museum occupy nearly forty folio volumes.
