Pandia (2)

Pandia an Attic festival, the precise nature of which is somewhat doubtful, some supposing it to have been instituted in the nor of the goddess of the same name, and others alleging it to have been a festival in honor of Zeus (Jupiter), and celebrated by ail the Attic tribes just like the Panathenaea (q.v.). It was held on the 14th of the Greek month Elaphebolion, and it appears to have been celebrated at Athens in the time of Demosthenes.
