Nicobulus

Nicobulus an Eastern ecclesiastic of whose personal history we know scarcely anything, was a friend and relative of Gregory Nazianzen. Nicobulus is noted as the author of a poem, addressed to his son of the same name, in reply to one by Gregory, in which the latter bad begged him to allow his son to leave his native country for the purpose of studying eloquence. The poem of Nicobulus is found among those of Gregory, beginning Τέκνον έμόν, μύθους ποθέων ποθέεις τὰ φέριστα See Fabricius, Bibl. Graec. 9:311.
