New Greek Church

New Greek Church is the term sometimes applied to the Eastern Church, as it was constituted after the subjugation of Greece by sultan Mohammed II in 1453, and continued in full power until the Greek Revolution of 1831-33 brought about the independent establishment of a state Church for Greece.
