Muirhead, Andrew

Muirhead, Andrew a Scotch prelate, was first rector of Codzow, and next preferred to the see of Glasgow in 1455. He was one of the commissioners who went to England in 1462, in order to negotiate a truce between the two nations. He died November 20, 1473. This prelate founded the vicars of the choir at Glasgow, and beautified the cathedral. He also established a hospital, which he dedicated to St. Nicholas. See Keith, Scottish Bishops, page 252.
