Moreau, Jean

Moreau, Jean a French theologian, was born at Laval near the opening of the 16th century. He was educated at Paris, and when about thirty years of age was appointed professor of theology at the University of Paris. He next became canon at the cathedral of Meaux. He died about 1584. His work, — Nomenclatura sen Legenda aurea pontificum Cenomanensium, ab anno Verbi incarnati 902 usque ad annum 1572, is still preserved in MS.
