McMullen, Robert Burns, D.D.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Abbeville District, S.C., February 9, 1807. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1833; spent two years in the Princeton Theological Seminary; was ordained by the Presbytery of Tuscaloosa, April 8, 1837; became pastor at Clinton, Alabama, the same year; professor of chemistry in East Tennessee University in 1841; pastor of First Church of Knoxville, Tennessee, the same year; president of Stewart College in 1858, and died at Clarkesville, January 14, 1865.
