Lingendes, Jean De

Lingendes, Jean de a French pulpit orator, a relative of the preceding, was born at Moulins in 1595. As chaplain to Louis XIII, he became quite eminent for his great talents in the pulpit. He was made bishop of Macon in 1650. He died in 1665. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Gezer. 31:278.
