Lengerke, Casar

Lengerke, Casar a noted German theologian, was born at Iamburg March 30, 1803. He was educated at the University of Konigsberg, and became a professor of theology and Oriental languages at that high school in 1829. He died Feb. 3, 1855. His most important works are, De Ephraemi Syri arte hermeneutica liber (1831.): — Das Buch Daniel (1835): — Kenaan, Volks und Religionsgesch. Israels, vol. 1 (1814).
