Landsborough, David, Dd

Landsborough, David, D.D., a Scotch Presbyterian minister, was born at Dalvy, Galloway, Scotland, in 1782. He was pastor of the parish of Stevenson from 1811 to 1843, and of a Free-Church congregation at Saltcoats from 1843 until his death in 1854. Mr. Landsborough was very eminent as a naturalist, and wrote several treatises on botany and zoology. He also contributed frequently to Dr. Harvey's Psychologia Britannica, and published papers in the Annals and Magazine of Natural History. —Allibone, Dictionary of British and American Authors, 2:1056.
