Jakshiamuni

Jakshiamuni in Lamaism, is the supreme god of the Thibetians, identical with Buddha of India, an incarnation of Vishnu, who appears for the fourth time to save men. He is the present sovereign of the universe. After him there will yet come nine hundred and ninety-six Buddhas, before the salvation of men shall be finished. The inhabitants of Thibet, Mongolia, Tartary, China, and Japan hold him to be the only god, creator and giver of their religion.
