Irijah

Iri'jah (Heb. Yiriyah', יַראַיָּיה, seen by Jehovah; Sept. Σαρουϊvας, Vulg. Jerias), son of Shelemiah, and a captain of the ward at the gate of Benjamin, who arrested the prophet Jeremiah on the pretence that he was deserting to the Chaldaeans (Jer 37:13-14). B.C. 589.
