Ireland, William

Ireland, William a missionary, was born near Oswestry, Shropshire, England. He graduated from Illinois College in 1845, from Andover Theological Seminary in 1848, and the same year left for Zululand. During the first thirteen years he was stationed at Ifumi. In 1855 he was appointed to take charge of the boys' seminary at Adams, and for seventeen years continued his work there. He died in Boston, Massachusetts, October 12, 1888.
