Hirt, Aloysius Ludwig

Hirt, Aloysius Ludwig a Roman Catholic divine, professor of archaeology at Berlin, was born June 27, 1759, at Donaueschingen, Baden, and died June 29, 1836. He is the author of Der Tempel Salomonis (Berlin, 1809). See Winer, Handbuch der theol. Lit. 1:139; Furst, Bibl. Jud. 1:400. (B.P.)
