Hill, Green

Hill, Green a colonel in the Revolutionary army, and one of the pioneer preachers of Methodism in Tennessee, was born in North Carolina in 1741. The year 1780 is given as the first record of his preaching. The first Conference in North Carolina was held at his house in 1785. In 1799 he removed to Tennessee. He died in 1825.
