Hieremoth

Hier'emoth ( ῾Ιερεμώθ), the name of two men in the Apocrypha.

1. A" son of Ela," who divorced his Gentile wife after the Captivity (1 Esdr. 9:27); the JERIMOTH SEE JERIMOTH (q.v.) of the Heb. text (Ezr 10:26).

2. A "son of Mani" who did the same (1 Esdr. 10:30); the RAMOTH SEE RAMOTH (q.v.) of the Heb. text (Ezr 10:29).
