Hermant, Godefroy

Hermant, Godefroy a French theologian, was, born at Beauvais, February 6, 1617. Having completed his, studies, he was appointed in 1642 canon at his native, place, in 1644 prior, and in 1650 doctor of the Sorbonne. In 1651 he took holy orders, and returned to Beauvais to officiate there as priest. In 1690 Hermant went to Paris to see his old friends, and on July 11 died suddenly in the street.
