Hempel, Christian Gottlob

Hempel, Christian Gottlob a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in 1748, at Horburg, near Merseburg. He studied at Leipsic, and died Feb. 11, 1824. He published, Beitrag zur richtigen Erklarung des Kryptopelagianismus (Leipsic, 1783): — Irrlichter und Irrgdnge (Kothen, 1790), and other ascetical works.
