Hasse, Johann

Hasse, Johann a Roman Catholic theologian of Germany, was born in- 1822. He studied at Breslau, and was professor of exegesis at the Pelplin seminary. In 1859 he was appointed vicar-general of the Culm diocese, in 1865 became a member of the chapter, in 1867 cathedral provost, and died Sept. 8, 1869, at Hanau, on his return from the episcopal convention which had met at Fulda.
