Hardin, Robert, D.D.

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Greene County, Tennessee, January 3, 1789. He was educated in Greenville College, and studied theology privately; was licensed by Union Presbytery, ordained by French Broad Presbytery in 1814, and became pastor of the Westminster and St. Paul churches. He died in Lewisburg, September 4, 1867. Dr. Hardin was considered by his brethren as a man of great moral worth and deep piety, and theological attainments far above the average. See Wilson, Presb.
