Guise, William

Guise, William a learned English divine, was born at Abload's or Abbey-load's Court, near Gloucester, in 1653, and was educated at Oriel College, where he was made fellow in 1674. He was ordained about 1677, and died September 3, 1684. He translated into English, and illustrated with a commentary, Dr. Bernard's Misnae Pars Ordinis Primi Teraim Tituli Septem (1690), and a tract; De Victimis Humanis. See Chalmers, Biog.
